Meet some Finecomix peeps here!

Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery is pleased to welcome storied New York cartoonist and illustrator Danny Hellman on Saturday, September 13 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Five accomplished local cartoonists who contributed to the new Hellman-edited alternative comics anthology TYPHON will join him at this festive signing.

Danny Hellman has been making art for publication since 1988. His illustrations have appeared in TIME, NEWSWEEK, SPORTS ILLUSTRATED, FORTUNE, FORBES, THE WALL STREET JOURNAL, FHM, GUITAR WORLD, NEW YORK PRESS, and countless others. Ever the clever prankster, “Dirty Danny” is equally notorious for his subversive mischief. TYPHON, from Dirty Danny Press, includes the work of 42 cartoonists from across North America and Europe. This full color, 192-page volume features contributions from
Glenn HeadTim LaneR. Sikoryak, Fiona Smyth, Rich Tommaso, among many others.

Appearing with Hellman will be Seattle-based contributors D. J. Bryant, Dalton Webb, Pat Moriarity, Max Clotfelter, and Mark Campos. Hellman will present a multimedia cartoon performance and Moriarity will perform a short music set with his 10-year-old son Jack –
as seen on Willie Nelson’s website!
